Welcome to earth shakers

A 501(C) 3) Nonprofit

The Earth Shakers is a Native American non-profit 501(c) 3. Our program is a youth and family prevention program. Earth Shakers believes that the support of family, education, athletics and culture are keys to a successful future for Native American Youth.
Earth Shakers currently provides weekly basketball clinics open to the youth on Tuesday through Friday and every other Sunday from 6 PM to 9 PM. The clinics occur at the Coyote Valley gymnasium located in Redwood Valley CA. The gym and activities are open to all youth that want to attend. Coach Feliz, a Coyote Valley Tribal member that has twenty plus years of experience coaching youth basketball with their dedicated volunteers provide basketball drills with the youth to help them improve their game.
The Earth Shakers adult volunteer staff attend as many youth basketball games as they can to support all the youth who participate in the weekly basketball clinics. Earth Shakers currently has two youth traveling teams that participate in AAU basketball tournaments. This is a successful start to building a long-lasting program that supports the youth in learning the valuable skills that will last a life time.
The Earth Shakers focus on culture and traditions in everything we do. We offer weekly ceremonial sweats to the community and cultural education that encourages youth and family engagements.

We need your support!

Unfortunately, we rely heavily on out-of-pocket funds to fund current activities. We have only been able to participate in three to five tournaments per year but would like to increase the number of tournaments to twelve, which would allow the youth to have more exposure to the game and increase their community engagements.  The benefits of youth sports build life long connections to others, teaches the value of teamwork and dedication to finishing what one starts. The health benefits alone are just as important to our native youth and communities as our native population has many health disparities that need to be addressed.

We are currently researching grant opportunities that will allow our organization to increase services to our local tribal communities and beyond. We will continue to fund our current activities out-of-pocket as best we can until we are able to secure a steady funding source.   We have been supporting two AAU youth basketball teams as best we can. We are requesting sponsorship for uniforms, meals, fuel cost, hotel rooms, and tournaments entry fees. We are requesting funding to purchase matching uniforms for up to twelve (12) youth per team, twenty (24) total.
Every donation will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
